In honor of his 100th birthday on August 8, WWII Navy Veteran Lee O. McKinnon Sr. was presented with a centenarian coin and certificate from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs by Columbia VAHCS Acting Executive Director/CEO David Brett Vess. McKinnon’s remarkable life spans a century of service and resilience—from surviving the chaos of North Africa’s battlefields during World War II to building a life centered on family, faith, and community. His story reflects not only the sacrifices of our nation’s Greatest Generation but also the enduring strength of our Veterans.
