Vista Guild and Main Street District partner on new mural

The CongareeVista Guild and Main Street District have announced a joint art project on the corner of Lady and Assembly Streets at The Palms on Main. The two organizations contributed financially to the creation of the mural. The mural is the creation of artist, Ija Charles, a Columbia artist who is a self-taught painter and entrepreneur. Charles has other works throughout Columbia including “Black Wall Street” at 1401 Main Street, “The Wonders of Cayce” in Cayce, and a piece on Devine Street.
