I read LCPL J.B. Smith’s article on litter. He had some good suggestions. It is an issue that concerns me. We often have a prison crew cleaning up on Caughman Road and within a few days, it is just as bad.
I think we need to start in the schools. We taught recycling and kids were telling their parents to recycle. If we did that about not littering, it might affect the future of our planet.
I contacted my local council woman Charisse Newton several months ago in the hope she might get something started. I’ve seen our Lt. Governor’s public announcement. The more we can do, we can keep our country beautiful. I don’t know how to contact the school boards or I would, maybe LCPL Smith could.
