Overview: Wi th Shaq Roland available for one more season, Lexington should be among the best teams in the Columbia area. Returning running back Kevin Miller, who rushed for 2500 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2010, should take some pressure off Roland. Quarterback Will Hunter also returns with 13 starts under his belt.
Richland Northeast enters the 2011 season wi th plenty of experi – ence, but the Cavaliers are in a state of transit ion. A senior laden defense should be able to keep the Cavaliers in most ball games, while a switch in offensive philosophy might take a couple of games to adjust to. Quarterback A. C. Whaley, running back Darius Paulk, and wide receiver Chavarius Curry- Fel ix al l return from 2010 and could make the transi t ion smoother for coach Jay Frye.
