Columbia native, and celebrity teen talent connecter, DemeTress Long, owner of Celebrity Movie Screenings & More, LLC, in partnership with Mark Williams, owner of WMS Talent Inc., presented Dr. J.R. Green, superintendent of Fairfield County School District, Emmy-nominated Isaac Ryan Brown to provide students interested in visual and performing arts with educational and career development services. Brown worked with Dr. Tracie Swilley, principal administrator at Fairfield Central High School (FCHS), and Dr. Brandon L. Dixon, principal administrator at Fairfield Middle School (FMS), as an artist in residence for a two-day acting and dance workshop at FCHS May 2–3. Brown instructed students enrolled in the schools’ visual and performing arts program chaired by arts teacher Cierra Cyrus.
Brown performed with FCHS Dance Company and FMS Dance Ensemble, along with “Touch of Blue” Dance Company. The after-school concert experience included 12 of the FMS cheer squad.
Long says she plans to bring Brown to Columbia for acting and dance camps this summer. For more information, call 470-546-4009.
