The Zone near Williams-Brice Stadium was the “rain” alternative venue for the 14th annual President’s Alumni Reception where USC President Andrew Sorensen let graduates in on plans for the making the “Carolina Experience” even more desirable for future students. How the skyscape around the USC campus complex is changing, and how alumni contributions are making a difference in that architectural image was a highlight of his remarks.
The event is usually held in the President’s garden on the Historic Horseshoe, but this year threats of bad weather prompted planners to move to higher ground.
