Carla Ward Graf was recently named director of Shandon United Methodist Preschool and Kindergarten. Graf is a graduate of Converse College with a bachelor of arts in finance.She also has her masters in the art of teaching in early childhood education from University of South Carolina.
She has held positions as associate director of children’s and family ministries at Shandon United Methodist Church and assistant director of Shandon United Methodist Preschool and Kindergarten. Graf is married to Michael Graf, and they have two children, Nancy Welch and Michael Jr.
Shandon United Methodist Preschool and Kindergarten, in continuous operation since 1952, strongly believes children learn through play and provides each child a personalized educational experience designed to help him/her grow intellectually, socially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Shandon Preschool and Kindergarten maintains a program that is child-centered and experience based.
Graf says she is thankful and thrilled to be part of the Shandon Preschool Family again and looks forward to many wonderful years there.
