SCHB Self Insurers Fund has announced Cole Epting of West Columbia is the recipient of a $1,000 award from the SCHB Self Insurers Fund 2019 Scholarship Program. An independent panel of judges selected Cole based on his commitment to educational excellence, community service, and extracurricular activities. A graduate of Gray Collegiate Academy, he will attend Clemson University this fall to study Kinesiology. Cole is the son of Mitzi and Charles Epting who is the president of Taurus Construction, Inc.
“SCHB Self Insurers Fund is very proud to support the fine students who were selected for a 2019 scholarship. They have demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills through their involvement with community, participation in extracurricular activities, and dedication to academic goals,” explained SCHB Self Insurers Fund Board Chairman, Herb Witter. “It is a great honor to contribute to these students and their futures through this scholarship fund.”
A celebratory scholarship dinner honoring Cole was held on June 26, 2019 at The Palmetto Club in Columbia. SCHB Self Insurers Fund presented the scholarship.
