Salon de la Lune has relocated to Forest Drive with a new shop that is as eye-catching as its 2006 spring styles.

Customers will be enamored with the chic dcor and tranquil atmosphere at Salon de la Lune’s new location at 4558-A Forest Drive, beside Columbia Athletic Club.

Salon de la Lune owner Annette Sanders said the full-day spa relocated and expanded to better serve its clients. She was elated that regular customers from their previous location on Millwood Avenue have followed them to their new spot, and new clients from the Forest Drive area are already making appointments.

Salon de la Lune has been in business for more than six years with an array of spa services that tap into cutting-edge trends. Sanders said the spa trends of spring 2006 emphasize natural colors, soft curls and layers, and a more precise body polish technique.

Sanders specializes in manicures and pedicures that include massage and exfoliation. Neutral shades are in, she said. The Tammy Taylor artificial nail line is popular as well.

On staff, hair stylist Janelle Silkwood said both long and short hair are fashionable. She reiterated Sanders’ comment that natural hues, layers, and curls are in now.

Salon de la Lune massage therapist Jill Grivois specializes in a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue, neuromuscular, and pregnancy massage.

Angela Williams of Salon de la Lune offers facials, waxing, exfoliations, and body polishes. She said the salon provides a more exact application of body polish from the Clayton Shagal line that looks very natural and is a healthy alternative to unsafe UV rays.

Grivois added that her mother’s line of handmade jewelry is sold at the shop as well.
