The Ruritan Clubs in the Columbia District received a donation from the Vulcan Materials Company. Ruritan National Director Donna Poulton is employed with them. The monetary donation is to be used for comfort bags to be given to people in need in our communities. The materials have been purchased, and several different Ruritan club members participated Wednesday, March 9 at the Pineview Ruritan Club in West Columbia. The members packed 100 bags (50 for children, 50 for veterans) to be divided equally to the clubs that helped so they can be distributed in their communities. Ruritan is a national civic organization. Its motto—Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service.
