Ruritan clubs hold district convention


 

 

The Columbia District Ruritan Clubs of S.C. held its convention recently at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. The Ruritan Club is part of the National Service Organization which promotes fellowship, goodwill, and community service throughout cities and rural communities of America. At right, the 2024-2025 Columbia District Governor Ginger Hardee (of Sandy Run club) passes the wooden mallet to the new 2026 Columbia District Governor, Ross Snell (of Pineview Club in West Columbia). Above, The Pineview Ruritan Club was noted for having three generations present at the recent district convention. (L-r): second generation members Glenda Hardee, Gary Hardee, and 2024-2025 District Governor Ginger Hardee; first generation Forever Ruritan Herbert Geiger, and his granddaughter (third generation), district youth activity co-chairman Amber Hardee.
