With a grandstand full of cowboys and cowgirls, the show started off with a royal salute to the U.S. flag and the National Anthem.

The cowgirls’ calf roping was tense to see the ropes taking the calf by the neck at the last moment before the bell.

The men’s calf roping was more difficult as they had to rope the calf, get off the horse, and tie up the calf. Some made the catch, others didn’t.

Clown Down—Bull riding gave a chance for S.C. EMS to show their first responders quick action to an incident. A rodeo clown is pinned down by a mad bull while another referee blocks the bulls horns with his foot to keep the bull’s horns from gouging the clown’s head.

The last event of the evening was bull riding with the hero of the show riding the bull to the sounding of the bell.
