The Richland County Education Association- Retired (RCEA-R) is inviting retired educators and retired non-certified school personnel to membership. RCEA-R works to keep its members informed and engaged in educational and civic initiatives, continued professional growth, and benefits and privileges of retirement. RCEA-R is aligned with the South Carolina Education Association Retired and participates as an affiliate.
RCEA-R members work on various committees to serve the organization and utilize their talents and experiences. A primary outreach of RCEA-R is its scholarship program that supports the recruitment of prospective educators.
RCEA-R is continuing its meetings via Zoom to keep members informed, present special programs and guests, and attend to the organization’s business.
“Our organization remains committed to quality educational opportunities for students, strong effective teachers, and support of future educators. RCEA-R’s members are active mentors, volunteers, and political advocates who use their skills and educational experiences to better our community,” said Ida Thompson, the organization’s president. We welcome all retirees in Richland and Fairfield Counties to join us.”
