New Bridge Academy will have a new principal for the 2022-2023 school year.
Elaine Lundy, who currently serves as assistant principal at Cayce Elementary, has been named to the top job at the district’s alternative school. The hire was recommended by Lexington Two Superintendent Dr. Nicolas Wade and approved by the Board of Trustees at its meeting last month.
Prior to arriving at Cayce Elementary in 2016, Lundy served in Lexington Two as ABA coordinator and transition specialist and, before that, as a special education teacher. She also served as director of Camp GG for more than 12 years. Lundy received a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University and master’s degrees from Grand Canyon University and Columbia College.
“I am so excited to join the New Bridge Academy family,” Lundy said. “My goal is for our school to be a place where we value all students, form positive relationships, and help students grow to their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.”
