Amanda Elizabeth Halloran and Thomas Travis Medlock Jr. were married in St. Stephens in Ridgeway, South Carolina, June 5, 2010, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Charles Davis Jr. performed the double ring ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle to “Firework” by Handel.
The bride is the daughter of Alice T. McCrory and John and Betsy Halloran. She is the granddaughter of Mac and Sarah McCrory and Ruth Halloran and the late Jack Halloran. The bride graduated from Spring Valley High School and the University of South Carolina with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. She is employed by the Law Offices of Joe McCulloch.
The bridegroom is the son of Travis and Laura Medlock. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laney Orr of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Melvin K. Medlock. The bridegroom graduated from Richland Northeast High School and Wofford College with a degree in philosophy. He is employed by the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce.
Christopher M. Augustine gave his mother in marriage. The maid of honor was Ella G. Augustine, daughter of the bride. The readers were Evelyn T. Bruner and Lauren E. Halloran, sisters of the bride. The flower girl was Sadie A. Medlock, daughter of the bridegroom. Christopher M. Augustine also served as best man. The usher was Glenn K. Medlock, brother of the bridegroom.
The reception was held at Mac’s Acres, family farm of the bride. After a wedding trip to The Cloister at Sea Pine Island, Georgia, the couple will reside in Forest Acres, South Carolina.
