Mrs. Carey alexander Washington II
Elise McLain Caskey and Carey Alexander Washington II, both of Columbia, were married June 5, 2010, at Faith Memorial Chapel in Cedar Mountain, North Carolina. The Rev. Sinclair E. Lewis officiated at the noon ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bell Caskey. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Thomas Wannamaker Lane and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wannamaker Lane and Mrs. John Harper Caskey and the late Mr. John Harper Caskey.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Carey Alexander Washington. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Foster Hawthorne and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Lee Washington.
Tanya Gibbons Washington, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. The bride’s attendants were Mrs. Elise Lane Kelly, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Sarah Alice Moore; and Mrs. Melanie Maloney Fulton.
The best man was Dr. Carey Alexander Washington, father of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Mr. John Lane Caskey and Mr. Thomas Bell Caskey, brothers of the bride; Mr. Daniel Clayton Goolsby, Jr.; and Mr. Joseph Stevenson Powell.
A reception followed at Connestee Country Club.
After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Columbia.
