The A.C. Flora Lady Falcons built up a 3-0 first half lead en route to a 4-0 win over the visiting Heathwood Hall Lady Highlanders Monday, April 20.

“ We played well,” A. C. Flora coach Jamie McLeod said. “ We have room for improvements in certain areas. As a team, I think we did a good job. We have to find a way to put the ball in the back of the net.”

A.C. Flora had multiple shot attempts before Sara Brown put the Lady Falcons on top 1-0 with a goal in the 13th minute.

Later in the half, Allie Crossland found Haley Fulton, who scored to extend A.C. Flora’s lead to 2-0.

Minutes later, Perrin Dargan added a third Falcon goal of the first half.

Heathwood Hall wasn’t able to muster much offense. The Highlanders’ best scoring opportunity of the game came in the 39th minute; however, Sarah Buchanan’s shot sailed wide.

Fulton got her second goal in the 63rd minute to give the Lady Falcons a 4-0 win.

“She’s a leader on and off the field,” McLeod said. “She does everything we ask her to. She can play any position on the field. She’s everything you want in a soccer player.”

With the win, A.C. Flora improves to 10-3.

“A win like this against a quality SCISA team gives us confidence going forward. Tonight was senior night, so it was good to send our lone senior out with a win,” McLeod said.
