Tuesday, May 28 was a big day for Arden Elementary School third-grader Laycee Conway.
As winner of The Junior League of Columbia’s Jr. Chef Kids in the Kitchen Cooking Contest, Laycee’s Pita Pocket Pizza appeared on the menu at every school in the district.
The contest challenged the young chefs to create a tasty plant-based recipe.
