Journey Through the Past

Town Theatre will offer the stage to another one of its talented artists. On Saturday, August 26, Town audiences can “reacquaint” with Clayton King (Gomez Addams in The Addams Family, Boris Kolenkhov in You Can’t Take It With You and Frank Abagnale Sr. in Catch Me If You Can). Woven through the story of his life, Clayton will offer songs of hope and faith, love, and regret. A personal journey of life’s challenges and triumphs shared in a setting he calls home—the theatre.

With a mix of genres— everything from Broadway to pop, country (perhaps re-imagined) to cabaret, Clayton returns to his roots in telling the tale through music.

With musical direction by Joshua Greer, bass by Gil Young (Catch Me If You Can), and drums by Joe Henderson, the evening promises to be entertaining, thoughtful, and uplifting. The concert is being presented as a part of Town’s Entr’acte Series—where artists are featured and their work outside of the main stage shows.

Proceeds from the Entr’acte Series will go toward the refurbishment and upkeep of Town’s 92- year-old facility.

Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased online at towntheatre.com or by calling the box office at 803-799-2510. Come early for a complimentary wine reception starting at 7:15 p.m.
