Kierra D. Ishmal
Kierra D. Ishmal, daughter of Marcus and Latonia Ishmal was born in Columbia. She is a fifth grade student at Joseph Keels Elementary. Kierra has always been involved in pageants and plays around the Columbia area and learns inspirational poems and monologues.
When Kierra learned she could use her talents to participate in an organization called the AJ’s Friends Community Spirit Sweetheart to help others, she did. She went around to companies in the Northeast area to help get sponsors to donate for children who have been diagnosed with Autism. She was awarded in the 2013 South Carolina State Fair Pageant for participating in this cause.
Kierra has a passion for helping others. She is currently working on a documentary film under the direction of Eugene Washington of Columbia.
Kierra would like to give special thanks to the teachers of Joseph Keels Elementary School, Kiki’s Chicken and Waffles, The Pest Bureau, G- tann Graphix, and many local barber shops and hair salons who contributed to helping her help others.
