JDRF Walk for Cure kick-started with Frye








The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation held its annual Walk for Cure at River Bluff High School in Lexington Sunday, February 21, 2016. The walk serves to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes and to raise funds to be used toward a cure. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease wherein a person’s own body destroys insulin producing cells. The rate of diagnosis for Type 1 diabetes is soaring worldwide.
