At the October 4 meeting of Rotary Club of Columbia East, Rotarian Jim Hudson (c) surprised two Rotarians by honoring them for their many contributions to Rotary with a $ 25,000 contribution to their favorite Rotary program. Jim honored past Rotary International vice president Anne Matthews (l) for her numerous contributions in making a difference for the less fortunate globally and particularly for her contributions to the eradication of polio in the world. He also honored the past president of the club, Beaver Hardee (r), for his significant contributions by continuously increasing membership in the club. Both were surprised. Jim Hudson is the consummate Rotarian who gives continuously to many charities in Columbia and a valuable, contributing member of Columbia East Rotary.
