Recent Heathwood graduate Erica Richardson ’06 is pictured in Dramatics magazine as one of four Thespian Playworks finalists whose original plays were developed at the national Thespian Festival during the summer of 2006.
Erica, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Richardson of Orangeburg and Heathwood’s drama director, Dr. Melissa Swick, spent a week in June at the Festival. Erica’s work throughout the experience was extremely successful.
Erica’s original script will be published in a future issue of Dramatics . A photo of the staged reading of Erica’s play Storms is included on the Educational Theatre Association website (www.edta.org) in the coverage of the Saturday events of this year’s Festival.
This honor is one of several national recognitions that Erica has received for her playwriting in recent years. She now attends Wellesley College in Massachusetts.
