The 7th Annual Golfing for Goldens sponsored by The Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue (LCGRR) and hosted by Snee Farm will be Monday, September 11, 2006. It’s a fun, Captain’s Choice scramble. The $90 entry fee includes a day beginning with a box lunch provided by the restaurant, The Dog and Duck, in Belle Hall, 18 holes of fun golf with cart, beer, soda, and water on the course all day, finishing with a dinner provided by Whole Foods and an evening of prizes, raffles, and auctions.
LCGRR sponsors several fundraisers in order to pay for the care of rescued, abandoned, stray, and owner turned in golden retrievers. LCGRR saves about 100 golden retrievers per year. The board is staffed with all volunteers; all monies fund the mission and care for the dogs.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the day. Golfers can sign up as individuals or can bring a team along. Individuals will be paired with other fun supporters. Non-golfers are most welcome to join in the fun day. For a dinner fee of $10 the non golfer can enjoy the Whole Foods dinner and the evening of fun, raffles, and auctions.
PreRegistration is advised. This outing has always been a very popular event. Please either download an application from the website www.lcgrr.org or call for one at 843-571-7177.
LCGRR is a South Carolina 501(c)3 organization, tax exempt, not for profit group. Linda Rogerson, president of the Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue Resource says, “Come meet some of our beautiful golden retrievers and stay for a day of good ole southern friendship and fun.”
