The South Carolina Business Hall of Fame, established in 1985, honors South Carolinians and business men and women in South Carolina who, through their accomplishments, have served as champions of free enterprise and role models for tomorrow’s business leaders.

Inductees for 2007 are architect Robert Mills, industrialist Robert Small, and financier Darla Moore. Mills was profiled in an earlier edition of The Columbia Star , and articles about Small and Moore are on page B1.

The induction ceremony was Thursday May 24, at the Columbia Convention Center. David Stanton of WIS- TV was the master of ceremonies. There were 491 seats sold for the function.

Among tomorrow’s business leaders, 14 students from grades second- 12 and from 22 surrounding counties escorted the Hall of Fame Laureates into the banquet hall: Stacia Andrews, Spring Valley High; Charles Alden Brinkley, Ballentine Elementary; Eleanor Crawford, Satchel Ford Elementary; Lyles H. Doughty, Crayton Middle; Patrick Flynn, Hartsville High; Jacob Wheeler Harding, Center for Knowledge; Theodore Hoefel, Spring Valley; Kyria Hoffman, Hartsville High; Christine Hsieh, Irmo High; Kevin Kennedy, Fairfield Middle; Sarah Kirby, Spring Valley High; Stacey Leas, Irmo High; Stephen McKinney, Satchel Ford Elementary; and Shannon Spires, Sandhills Elementary.
