George and Liza Stone of Columbia celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 22, 2015.
Their two sons, Tommy (Sharon) from Florida and George ( Joy) from Columbia surprised their parents with a fabulous dinner at Ruth’s Chris downtown. To continue the couple’s celebration, friends and family gathered Thursday evening 7-9 p.m. at Bill’s Music Shop and Pickin’ Parlor in West Columbia for some cake, dancing, and live music from Blythewood’s Jazz Orchestra (singer Jackie Johnson). It was a fun filled evening for all.
George and Liza have continued to be surprised with gifts, cards, and visits from neighbors and church friends alike congratulating them on their faithful journey together. Their marriage is a tremendous testimony of love, joy, and patience of spending all these years together. May God continue to bless George and Liza and may they live happily ever after.
