701 Center for Contemporary Art is accepting proposals for its Youth Summer Art Workshops 2019. Have a cool art workshop idea you want to teach? Let CCA know. CCA will offer five weeks of summer camp sessions designed for ages six–17. Sessions are one week, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Session 1—June 24–28; Session 2— July 8–12; Session 3—July 15–19; Session 4—July 22–26; Session 5— July 29–August 2. Columbia Art Center is accepting artists for its 2019 Art Along the Trail showcase at Riverfront Park now through Sunday, July 1. The South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will participate in the tenth annual Blue Star Museums program to offer free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel and their families this summer. The Relic Room will be offering the free admission to military personnel and up to five family members every normal day of operation this summer, 301 Gervais Street. The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum.
