Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awards grants to more than 100 nonprofits across South Carolina

More than 100 nonprofits in South Carolina are among the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation grant recipients this fall.

Grants were awarded to nearly 400 organizations across the Dominion Energy footprint, including approximately 130 organizations in South Carolina with just over $900,000.

This funding supports a variety of programs and services, including environmental education, affordable housing, veterans, and teens transitioning from foster care, among other causes.

Grant recipients include

Ducks Unlimited’s Lowcountry Program works to permanently protect and enhance South Carolina’s coastal wetlands and habitats—critical for wildlife, flood protection, and clean water.

Midlands Housing Alliance’s Transitions Actively Aging Program in Columbia provides dedicated beds and intensive case management for homeless adults aged 62 and older, addressing complex health and housing needs to help seniors transition from crisis to permanent housing.

Golden Harvest Food Bank’s Emergency Meals Program in Augusta provides emergency meals through a network of food pantries and programs, delivering over 143,000 meals to families and individuals facing hunger in six South Carolina counties.

“This time of year should remind us of our call to serve because we truly are our brother’s keeper, and we are our sister’s keeper,” said Keller Kissam, president of Dominion Energy South Carolina. “We are honored to support these local nonprofits and their dedicated teams of employees who work year-round to help our neighbors in need.”

Funding is available to organizations in areas where Dominion Energy provides electricity or natural gas or has significant business interests. These include Virginia, South Carolina, northeastern North Carolina, and parts of West Virginia, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

Applications for the next round of grants will be accepted from January 12 to February 20, 2026. Visit DominionEnergy.com/foundation for more information.
