With Thanksgiving over and the Yuletide season coming fast, the city of Forest Acres has begun to adorn itself for the holidays. Tuesday afternoon, a three- man crew from Standard Electric was spotted on Beltline Blvd. beside Midtown at Forest Acres with a trailer full of holiday lights.

Chris Best was perched high atop the truck in a cherry picker, decorations in hand, as Jimmy Jackson carefully maneuvered the bucket into position against the pole.

Michael Richardson provided direction and feedback from the ground as Best performed his own special brand of gymnastics balancing between pole and bucket to mount the lights.

Once back on the ground, the team moved on to the next pole to spread the holiday cheer. According to Richardson, the men will have mounted approximately 245 lights in the space of two days by the time their task is complete. They hope their efforts will make the holidays a little brighter for all who pass through Forest Acres.
