Columbia Riding Academy shines at Clemson Fall Classic

Eleven riders from Columbia Riding Academy at Hamilton Stables in Eastover participated in the 2007 Clemson Fall Class November 9 and 10, 2007, at T. Ed Garrison Arena in Clemson, South Carolina.

Sandra “Sug” Kaiser, driving Sunset’s Popping took second place in the Hackney Pony Pleasure Driving Class. Ashlyn Hamilton took third place in the American Saddlebred Five- Gaited- Amateur/Jr. Exhibitor Class riding Back in Black. She also took sixth place in the Three- Gaited- Amateur/Jr. Exhibitor Class riding Daily Graces.

Clark Blankenbecklor took the blue ribbon in Academy Showmanship Driving riding Calloway’s Carumba. He also took first place in the Academy Driving Championship.

In the Academy Equitation and Showmanship classes for 10 and under in the walk/trot/canter division, Madison Probis took fourth place riding Huck’s Silouette, a national show horse.

Mary Keteres took fifth place in Academy Equitation and Showmanship classes for 11- 13 year olds in the Walk/Trot/ Canter Division riding Huck’s Silhouette.

Kathy Blankenbecklor, riding Sweet Sultress, a saddlebred, took third place in the Academy Equitation and Showmanship Adult Walk/Trot classes. The two won second place in their first Academy Championship Walk/Trot Adult Class.

Kaleb Kaiser and Calloway’s Carumba rode to fourth and fifth place honors in the seven and eight year olds Walk/Trot Equitation and Showmanship classes. They took fifth place in their first Academy Championship Walk/Trot for Seven and Eight Year Olds.

Erin Blankenbecklor rode Sweet Sultress to win fifth and fourth place honors in the Seven and Eight Year Old Academy Equitation and Showmanship classes. She also won fourth place for the Academy Championship Walk/Trot Seven and Eight Year Olds class.

Carol Blount, riding Sovrans Undeniable in the American Saddlebred Three- Gaited English Show Pleasure Stake Adult, rode to a fourth place finish.

Ashyln Hamilton took Back in Black to a third place finish in the American Saddlebred Five Gaited Amateur/ Jr. Exhibitor Stake. She also took fourth place on Daily Graces for the American Saddlebred Three- Gait- ed English Show Pleasure Stake- Jr. Exhibitor.

The highlight was the trainer Raquel Hamilton riding Precedence in the American Three- Gaited Park Pleasure Stake Open and winning fourth place. This group of riders have traveled to both the Carolinas to improve and in support of Saddlebreds.
