City holds successful Go Red Columbia event

The City of Columbia held its annual Go Red Columbia Community Photo Op on National Wear Red Day February 2 to raise awareness for women affected by heart disease. Over 100 people attended the ceremony and participated in free health screens offered to city employees and the public. During the event, Mayor Daniel Rickenmann presented Crystal Kirkland, executive director of the American Heart Association, with an American Heart Month Proclamation. City Manager Teresa Wilson shared her own personal story regarding heart health.
