On December 6 at 7 p.m. in the Eastminster Presbyterian Sanctuary, everyone is invited to kick-off the holiday season with Carols and Keyboards, a Christmas celebration concert featuring four pianos, guest artists, the Eastminster Chancel Choir, and the Sandlapper Singers.
Eastminster’s Jubilee worship leader and keyboard and Carol’s facilitative and artistic director Augie Gil said, “ Those who attend our concert can expect to experience the many emotions of the Christmas season. The audience will sense the excitement of the gospel come to earth, the sweetness of the Savior’s birth, the unity and rejoicing of the human race as we celebrate salvation, and the merriment (and hustle and bustle) of the season’s activities! This concert will create and the audience will experience these familiar seasonal emotions all through music!”
Carols and Keyboards exists to feature and celebrate musical talent within the Columbia community during one of the most musically important times of the year—Christmas. Carols encapsulates and expresses the joy, devotion, gratitude, and goodwill towards all people, and tells the beautiful story of the Gospel; Carols also bridges the gap between multiple generations. During the Carols and Keyboards concert, musicians will bring to life the feeling of Christmas traditions and the feelings of joy, devotion, and gratitude for the true gift of Christmas—Jesus.
Gil said, “Those who attend our concert can expect musical connections to the many emotions of the Christmas season. We are excited to share the familiar seasonal emotions of the sweetness of the Savior’s birth and the rejoicing of the human race as we celebrate salvation.
“Be prepared for many fantastic musical and merry moments.”
