The 2019 Cardinal Newman Dance Marathon raised $59,017 for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. This was the school’s highest total and the most ever raised by a high school program in the State of South Carolina. For six hours, over 200 Cardinal Newman students danced, stayed on their feet, engaged in activities, and made history by raising more than any single Dance Marathon has raised in the eight years since the school began hosting them. This year’s amount brings the total funds donated to the hospital over the last eight years to just over $300,000. In addition, for six months leading up to the marathon, students organized several fundraisers a month.
