Mega Metal, a copper wire manufacturer, has announced it has selected Fairfield County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The $34 million investment will create 135 new jobs at 364 Blue Granite Parkway in Ridgeway.
A new report from the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) shows that hospitals account for more than 203,000 state jobs with a total of $13.2 billion in labor income.
Balfour Beatty is celebrating the topping out of South Carolina’s new psychiatric residential treatment facility for justice-involved youth in Columbia. Palmetto Trail has partnered with the Boyd Foundation in the opening of its newest passage on the Palmetto Trail, the Boyd Passage. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled to be held June 4, 10 a.m. at the Boyd Passage Trailhead. The Boyd Passage is a 26-mile stretch that connects the Capital City passage to the Wateree Passage, fully connecting the trail from Columbia to the coast.
