Amanda Sheheen got a very early start as a trader in the competitive arena of obsolete bank notes. Her father, Austin Sheheen Jr. recognized her grasp and gift in the unusual hobby and encouraged her to make trading her career. Amanda will be a featured vendor at Nov. 11’s History Lovers’ Market from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at the SC Archives and History Center. Austin Sheheen is the author of the definitive book on South Carolina currency now out of circulation.
