The Hammond Skyhawks led the Cardinal Newman Cardinals 32-26 with 3:11 left in the third quarter of a tightly contested SCISA semifinal battle in Sumter Wednesday, February 21, but the Cardinals found a spark off the bench and outscored Hammond 25-11 the rest of the way to claim a 51-43 victory.
Chargers end Hammond’s run
The Northwood Academy Chargers raced to a 6-0 lead against the Hammond Skyhawks and never looked back on their way to a 57-41 victory in the semifinals of the SCISA 4A Girls Basketball playoffs in Sumter February 21.
