Citrus fruit trees thrive all- year long
Last May The Columbia Star featured a couple of enterprising gardeners in the Broad River Road area who have developed an orchard of thriving citrus fruit trees. Ben Salley and his neighbor Richard Croxton have found their neighborhood provides a nurturing environment for grapefruit, orange, kumquat, and lemon trees. Salley is harvesting a bumper crop this fall.
