A.C. Flora runs away from Blue Devils

Other Falcon hitters included Baker Cox who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Harmon Cox who went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Dreher’s one hit came from Luke Reynolds who got it in three at-bats.

A.C. Flora took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Long scored on a wild pitch.

The Falcons added five more in the bottom of the third. Coleman Ramos came home on a bases loaded walk, and then Harmon Cox scored when Speedy’s ground ball was mishandled. Long followed with a bases clearing triple to right field to put A.C. Flora up 6-0.

The Blue Devils got a run back in the top of the fifth when Kendrick Corbin grounded out to Baker Cox at first base, but Day Day Washington was able to score from third.Photo by Jim Marczesky.

The Falcons ended the game in the bottom of the sixth with five more runs. Michael Wright scored on an error, John Reynolds reached home on a wild pitch, and then Baker Cox doubled to center field plating Speedy and Long. The final run came on a bases loaded walk that sent John Wolfe home.
