Sometimes the ability to give is a gift itself. In lieu of receiving appreciation gifts to commemorate Doctors’ Day, Providence Medical Staff members requested the Health System make a donation in their name to support the clinic. On Thursday, April 4 at 10 a.m., members of the Providence Health Medical Staff presented a check to leaders of the Free Medical Clinic.

“The missions of the Free Medical Clinic and Providence Health are aligned,” says Joseph Modzelewski MD, chief of medical staff, Providence Health. “We recognize the good work being done in the clinic and are thankful for the care the staff, and the volunteer physicians, provide to those in need in our community.”

The Free Medical Clinic, located at 1875 Harden Street, opened in 1984 and continues to provide an important access point to health care services for many in need. The clinic relies heavily on private donations for financial support.
