Judges advances fraud lawsuit

U.S. Judge Margaret Seymour ruled that a civil fraud lawsuit by former SCANA shareholders can go forward to a future jury trial. Shareholders seek to recover some $2.7 billion in alleged losses to their stock holdings following the failure of the V.C. Summer nuclear plant.

Flex hiring 500 workers

West Columbia technological manufacturer Flex is hiring 500 workers between now and the end of November for a variety of jobs including assemblers, quality control inspectors, technicians, and engineers.
