African American Heritage Commission (organization), Business— Hampton III Gallery, Gove rnment— Florence County Museum, Organization— Gibbes Museum of Ar t, and Columbia Stage Society (Town Theatre) (Special Award).

Muhammad Umar, EIT, has joined GMK Associates, Inc.’s Engineering Division as an electrical engineering designer.

U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman Nicholas E. Weston graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Weston is the son of Geronell C. and Chauncey R. Weston. He is a 2013 graduate of Lower Richland High School and earned a bachelor's degree in 2017 from Destiny Bible College.

Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s community improvement nonprofit organization, presented Keep the Midlands Beautiful with its 2018 President’s Circle Award recognition.

U.S. Air Force Airman Cameron M. Bowens graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Bowens is the son of Patty A. Rhom of Blythewood. He is a 2018 graduate of Blythewood High School.

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Geanine T. Brunson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Brunson is the daughter of Sharon Campbell and Gregory Brunson. She is a 2014 graduate of Lakewood High School, Sumter. She earned a bachelor's degree in 2018 from University of South Carolina.
