Beethoven & Blue Jeans continues after two decades

Contributed by S.C. Philharmonic

The South Carolina Philharmonic will present the third concert of the 2018/2019 Masterworks Series Saturday, January 12, featuring pieces by Beethoven, Brahms, and Adam Schoenberg.

Beethoven & Blue Jeans is an annual concert in our Masterworks Series where Beethoven is featured in the program and all attendees, as well as musicians, are encouraged to wear jeans for a fun and relaxed concert experience.

The first Beethoven & Blue Jeans the S.C. Phil presented was in the 1998/1999 season.

This year’s Beethoven & Blue Jeans will feature international touring violinist Sayaka Shoji performing on a 1729 Récamier Stradivarius violin.

Tickets are on sale at The Koger Center box office through January 12.

The South Carolina Philharmonic entertains, educates, enriches and excites diverse audiences through live symphonic music.
