Photo Contributed Photo Contributed On October 19, small business leaders have the opportunity to go to “ infinity and beyond” without ever leaving the comfort of the South Carolina State Museum.

That’s the theme of this year’s Third Annual Executive Summit, which will offer professional growth and networking opportunities for business leaders from all areas of the Palmetto state.

The event, put on by ERG Payroll and HR, will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include six educational sessions and a panel “keynote” from executives of fast-growing companies SCRA, Fisher Phillips, Pendleton Street Business Advisors, Splash Omnimedia, and Bauknight, Pietras, & Stormer.

“We created this event to fill the void of networking and educational opportunities for local entrepreneurs and small business leaders,” said Matt Vaadi, CEO of ERG Payroll & HR. “Our challenges are unique. Learning from those who have been where we want to go is paramount to the success of the local economy.”

Topics will include hiring “A” players, operating systems for growth, creating a culture that scales, and legal considerations during high-growth periods. The keynote event will highlight a panel of CEOs of high-growth organizations sharing their experiences, mistakes, and best practices on the path to scale.

The individual speakers include:

• Thomas Pietras, Shareholder, Bauknight, Pietras, & Stormer

• Hal Turner, CEO, Parateum Corporation

• Dirk Brown, CEO, Pandoodle Corporation

• Bob Cooper, CEO, Swampfox Technologies

• Mike White, Partner, Splash Omnimedia

• Karen Jenkins, CEO, KRJ Consulting

• John Barnes, CEO, Pendleton Street Business Advisors

• Hagood Tighe, Attorney at Law, Fisher Phillips

• Matt Vaadi, CEO, ERG Payroll & HR

The $69 price for the day includes lunch and an all-day pass to the museum. One hundred percent of the ticket sales will go to Transitions Homeless Center, a 260-bed facility in downtown Columbia. Tickets can be purchases at www.ergpayroll.com\summit.

“For small business owners, it’s often difficult for them to determine whether something is worth leaving their desk for the day,” said Vaadi. “ We are fortunate that many people, after attending the summit the past two years, have told us the rich content and the ideas for growing their business with purpose made it more than worth it.”

ERG Payroll & HR is focused on simplifying human resource functions for small to mid-size businesses. Through its unique blend of technology and people, ERG Payroll and HR helps business owners maintain compliance, grow, and focus on their mission.
