Miss Cotter and Mr. Moluf exchange wedding vows September 29


Mrs. George Anthony Moluf III Mrs. George Anthony Moluf III Caroline Reeves Cotter and George Anthony Moluf III, both of Charleston, South Carolina, were united in marriage on September 29 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Columbia, South Carolina. The Reverend Scott Fleischer officiated the ceremony at half past 6 o’clock.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Arlen Cotter Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Leslie Arlen Cotter of Columbia, South Carolina, and the late Mr. Leslie Arlen Cotter and Mrs. William Mendenhall Webster III of Greenville, South Carolina, and the late Mr. William Mendenhall Webster III. She is a graduate of Hammond School, Columbia, South Carolina, and Wofford College, Spartanburg, South Carolina, with a degree in business economics. She received her masters in health administration from The Medical University of South Carolina where she is also employed in the Office of Strategic Planning.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Anthony Moluf Jr., of Charleston, South Carolina. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Anthony Moluf of Charleston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Erwin Sims II of Rock Hill, South Carolina. He is a graduate of Bishop England High School in Charleston and received a degree in business finance from the University of South Carolina. He is employed by Moluf ’s Supply, Inc. in Charleston.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The matrons of honor were the bride’s sister, Elizabeth Cotter Thompson of Atlanta, Georgia; and Katherine Helms Sundby of Dallas, Texas. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters-in-law, Sarah Josephine Moluf and Jane Werrell Prevost, both of Charleston, South Carolina; Charlotte Knight Atkinson and Connell Owings Dunn both of Charlotte, North Carolina; Katherine Hendricks Laffitte of Greenville, South Carolina; Katherine Bakhaus Satterfield of Atlanta, Georgia; Katherine Neuffer Hines of Winston Salem, North Carolina; Virginia Roach McMaster and Janet Cotter Jenkins both of Columbia, South Carolina; and Lily Landreth Webster, Lavinia Leese Webster, and Elizabeth Langhorne Webster all of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The groom’s father served as the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brother-in-law, Leslie Arlen Cotter III of Columbia, South Carolina; Preston Fred McDaniel III and Sterling Jinks Usher Laffitte Jr., both of Columbia, South Carolina; Billy Alvin Tunstall III of Greenwood, South Carolina; Alan George McMahon and Brandon Lee Tart both of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; and Wesley Mitchell Lyon and Matthew McAlister Prendergast both of Charleston, South Carolina.

Ushers were James Wittingham Clement and Andrew Robinson Tew of Charleston, South Carolina; William Markham Montgomery of Charlotte, North Carolina; Cameron Christopher Clifton of New York, New York; William Richard Thompson and Reed Kristian Bjorkman both of Atlanta, Georgia; and James Clayton Mitchell III of Columbia, South Carolina.

Evelyn Ann Tart, cousin of the groom, served as the flower girl. William Elias Tart, also cousin of the groom, served as the ring bearer.

A reception at Forest Lake Club followed the ceremony.

After a honeymoon trip to Greece, the couple will reside in Charleston, South Carolina.
