Employees of Southeastern Freight Lines have completed their 2018 United Way campaign with a total of more than $140,000.

“Southeastern Freight and its employees have been an amazing partner for United Way and the entire community for decades,” said United Way President & CEO Sara Fawcett. “ We are grateful for their enthusiastic support of our goal to fight for the health, education, and economic mobility of every person in the Midlands.”

The Southeastern Freight Lines employee campaign was led by Stephanie Cullum, Jessica Oswald, and Alison Sturkie.

Southeastern also supports United Way’s efforts to increase childhood literacy through 17 volunteers who participate in the Midlands Reading Consortium, a program designed to match tutors with K-2nd grade students for oneon one tutoring throughout an entire school year.

“For many years, Southeastern has supported

United Way and the work it does to make our community a better place for everyone,” said Mike Heaton, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Southeastern Freight Lines. “ We believe in strengthening the communities we serve by investing in programs that make a measurable difference.”
