The win moves the Blazers to an 11-9 record overall and 4-4 in region play. The Cavaliers fall to 16-3 overall and 6-2 in region.

Dashia Jackson was the offensive scoring punch for Northeast, the only Cavalier in double figures with 24 points.

Northeast started the third quarter on an 11-2 run to take a 29-19 lead. Then Harts hit a three for Ridge View with just over three minutes to go in the quarter.

“It was the only three she had in the game,” Gibson said, “but it allowed everyone else to be who they are. The shooters started to shoot; the rebounders got rebounders. Folks made plays. It started everything.”
