Palmetto Place receives donation from local law firm

The Columbia office of the McAngus Goudelock & Courie awarded Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter with $4,686.60 to support their homeless teen programs.

“These funds will help sponsor two homeless teens in our program for the next 12 months,” Says Grace Bennett, project coordinator. “We’re so thankful for the support of the employees who helped raise these funds in 2017. It takes a village to raise a kid, and the MGC staff is an important part of our village.”

“Giving back to our community is a core part of the MGC culture. We are thrilled to be able to support Palmetto Place and know our contribution is helping to change the lives of homeless teens in the Midlands,” says Brenda Bullard, Charitable Giving chair.

Each year MGC votes for a charitable organization to support. Throughout the year they host fundraisers such as jean days, candy grams, pie in the face challenges, and other events to help raise money for the charity.
