Columbia Media Club welcomes new USC press director

Prior to arriving to head USC Press in October, Brown was director of Georgetown University Press for 16 years and has many previous years in academic publishing, including four years as editor of The Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia. He served on the board of the Association of American University Presses for five years and was president in 2010-2011.

Columbia Media Club is an association of profession journalists working, or having worked in print and electronic media. They meet for networking and camaraderie the third Thursday of each month at 5: 30 p. m. at the American Legion Post on Pickens Street. Visitors and prospective members are welcome.
