Unique Drake led the way for Westwood scoring a game-high 20 points. Mya Belton was just behind her with 16. Nyah Leveretter added nine, Maliyah Lockett had four, and Keionna Ray hit a couple of free throws down the stretch.

Taylor Britt was the leading scorer for the Cavaliers with 14. Dashia Jackson chipped in 11, and Sharita Godfrey and Cortazia Windley each got seven. Aramani Wright added six, and Kayla Brown finished with two.

Belton led the Redhawks to a 16-12 first period lead with seven points. Drake added five. Britt was on fire for Richland Northeast keeping it close with eight points.

Westwood’s lead grew to 27-21 at the break. Leveretter led the way with six points, and Drake added five. The Cavaliers stayed within striking distance with three from Jackson and two each from Windley, Wright, and Britt.

Richland Northeast held the Redhawks to six points in the third period, three of those came from Drake. The Cavaliers got four more from Britt, a 3- pointer from Godfrey, and a basket from Jackson to cut the Westwood lead to 33- 30 going into the fourth.

Drake and Belton paced the Redhawks down the stretch contributing seven points each. Richland Northeast countered with six from Jackson, four from Godfrey, and three from Windley, but it was not enough.
