Baked Cream Cheese Appetizer

1/2 (8 ounce) package
refrigerated crescent
rolls
1 (8 ounce) package
cream cheese
1/2 tsp. dried dill weed
1 egg yolk, beaten

Unroll dough on a lightly floured surface; press together seams to form a 12 x 4-inch rectangle. Sprinkle one side of the cream cheese with half of the dill weed. Place brick of cream cheese dill side down in center of dough. Sprinkle dill on top of cream cheese. Enclose cream cheese by bringing sides of dough together and pressing edges to seal. Place dough on lightly greased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Serve warm.

Cranberry Dip

1 (12 ounce) package
fresh cranberries
1 cup white sugar
1 cup apricot jam
1 cup chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) package
cream cheese

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.

Combine cranberries with sugar in a two quart baking dish with a lid, stirring well to coat all the berries. Bake in the preheated oven, covered, for about 30 minutes, until the cranberries pop and release their liquid.

Remove from oven and stir in the apricot jam and pecans. Refrigerate overnight to blend the flavors. To serve, allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature, and pour dip over the block of cream cheese on a serving dish. Serve with buttery round crackers or small pretzels.

Savory Pumpkin Hummus

2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. tahini
3 cloves garlic
3/4 tsp. salt
2 (15 ounce) cans
garbanzo beans,
drained
2 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
puree
1 tsp. ground cumin

1/2 tsp.cayenne pepper
1/4 cup toasted pumpkin
seed kernels, or more
to taste
1 pinch paprika

Pulse lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and salt together in a food processor or blender until smooth. Add garbanzo beans and olive oil and pulse until smooth. Add pumpkin, cumin, and cayenne pepper; process until well blended. Transfer hummus to a container with a lid and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Fold pumpkin seeds into hummus; garnish with paprika.

Christmas Snack Mix

1 (16 ounce) jar dry
roasted peanuts
2 (14 ounce) packages red
and green candy-coated chocolate
1 (14 ounce) package
chocolate covered
peanuts

1 (7 ounce) jar wheat nuts

Mix together the peanuts, red and green candy-coated chocolate pieces, red and green candy-coated chocolate covered peanuts, chocolate covered peanuts and wheat germ nut snacks.

Serve in a large bowl or place in decorative glass jars and give as gifts.
